Stolen Inverted Jenny Recovered

A stolen inverted Jenny stamp was recovered in New York City.24 Cent Inverted Jenny block stamp of 1918 was stolen from art patron Ethel B. McCoy in 1955. Two of the four stamps were recovered in the 1970s and 1980s.
The third stolen stamp was suddenly revealed during Spink Auction Sale on 1st April. The stamp was returned to the American Philatelic Research Library to whom the stamps were donated by Mrs. McCoy.
The 24 cent 1918 Inverted Jenny stamp indicates the value of $350,000.
