Todywalla auction is conducting an auction on 20th July in Mumbai. This auction consists some of rare and distinguishes collectable from the Indian coinage. One of the most notable specimens is the gold 1/3 mohur of Pratap Singhs of Baroda Princely State. The coin is esteemed to fetch at least INR 3,00,000, as its starting bid of this coin.The obverse of this gold coin depicts a portrait of the Maharaja wearing a royal headdress and ornaments facing right, with is the name written around it. On the reverse, the name of the state, denomination, a scimitar and date VS 1995 is illustrated. According to the auction house, this coin is extremely rare and extremely fine.
The auction house also elaborates that this type of coins is part of Ake Linden, David Fore, Diana and Dr Hesselgesser collections.
