David Lawrence Rare Coins Auction Highlights

David Lawrence is offering several rare coins during its Sunday Internet Auction #1070. The online auction is scheduled to end on 23rd June. One of the highlights is a ½ cent coin issued in 1793 graded PCGS AU53 with a CAC sticker. The production of half cents began in the year 1793. The well-struck example belongs to the famous one-year type coins.Another interesting offering is a 25 cent coin (Small Letters) issued in 1831, graded PCGS MS64+ with a CAC sticker. The coin features satiny lustre with light pastel pink tints along with lime and teal blue reverse tones.
A Standing Liberty 25 cent coin issued in 1916, graded PCGS MS63 FH (OGH) is also being offered. The coin has a famous key date SLQ as a low-mintage first-year issue. It is very difficult to find Full Head examples of this type.
The fourth coin to look out for is a $1 coin issued in 1902, graded PCGS Proof 68 with a CAC sticker. Only two such examples exist in such a high grade. It features navy and lavender tones on the obverse and has perfect surfaces. Only 777 pieces of such coins have been struck in proof format.
