Queen's Birthday £5 Coin Could Cost You £7,500

2016-04-12 Tue

The latest £5 coins have been issued by the Royal Mint in a variety of finishes and metals, including editions in platinum, gold, and silver.

A classical garland of nine roses depicted on the coin indicates the Queen’s decades along with the Royal cipher “EIIR”, and the number 90.

The 75-year old designer, Christopher Hobbs, got his design personally approved by the Queen.

Prices start at £13 but a limited edition 5oz gold coin was available to pre-order for £7,500.

These coins were very well received and some ranges were sold out completely.
