The Hyderabad State has mostly been presented as having a sole center of power, dominated by Nizam. It was the large sovereign state which covered much of the Deccan and several depending (feudal) states owed allegiance (loyalty) to the Hyderabad and therefore is called feudatory states.Kalayani was a feudatory state in India under the sovereignty of the Nizams of Hyderabad. It is a town located in north Mysore. The only coins ever minted in the state were the Mohur and Rupee under Nawab Mohammad Shah Khair al-Din. These coins represent the Kalima on the obverse face. On the other hand, the reverse of this coin depicts the Tiger, Persian letter ‘Ha’, the mint name ‘Zarb Kallian’, and date.
Represent above silver Rupee of Kalayani was sold for INR 40,000 by the Classical Numismatic Gallery.
