Coin Commemorating 225th Anniversary of U.S. Marshals

U.S Marshal Service is the oldest Federal Law Enforcement agency of the United States of America; it was established at the same time as the federal judicial System. It was created under the Judiciary Act of 1789 during the presidency of George Washington. The Marshal Service is an agency of United States executive branch which reports to the United States Attorney General, but it also serves as the enforcement arm of the United States Federal Court to ensure the effective operation of the judiciary and integrity of the Constitution.This silver commemorative dollar was issued by the United States of America in the year 2015. It was issued to celebrate 225th anniversary of U.S Marshals. The obverse of this coin depicts the image of United States Marshal Service Star with Silhouettes of old west U.S Marshals on horseback. The reverse of this coin depicts a Marshal with the poster which reads “Wanted in Ft. Smith.”
