Shah Alam Bahadur was the ruler of the Mughal Empire. He ruled the Mughal Empire from 1707 CE until his death in 1712 CE. Shah Alam Bahadur was the son of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. After the death of Aurangzeb, his brother Muhammad Kam Bakhsh declared himself as the ruler of Delhi, but after defeating his brother in the Battle of Jajau; he ascended the Mughal throne in the year 1707 AD with the title Bahadur Shah I. The real name of Shah Alam Bahadur was Mu'azzam; after sitting on the throne of Mughal Empire he took the title Badadur Shah after sitting on the throne of Mughal Empire.This rare gold mohur was issued by Shah Alam Bahadur from the mint Dar-ul-Khilafat Shajahanabad during the Hijri Year 1123 is listed for INR 45,000 in the upcoming auction of Todywalla which will be held in Mumbai on 20th April 2019. The obverse of this coin is inscribed with the name and title of Shah Alam Bahadur with the Hijri year 1123. The reverse of this coin is inscribed with julus formula, mint name and regnal year 5.
