Nazarana Silver Rupee of Jind Listed For INR 25,000

Jind was a Princely State during the British rule in India. It was founded by Raja Gajpat Singh in 1763. Today it is a district located in the Indian States of Haryana. Jind is a heart of Haryana and it is the fourth district of Jat belt along with Sonipat, Rohtak, and Hissar.The rulers of this state belong to the Phulkian dynasty. It was ruled by Scindia dynasty of Maratha Empire and was paid tribute to Maratha. In the Second Anglo Maratha War, Marathas were defeated and so Jind state became a British protectorate.
This Silver Nazarana rupee which weighs around 11.4g was issued by Ranbir Singh to commemorate his 50th anniversary. Ranbir Singh was Maharaja of Jind state from1887 AD to 1948. During the reign, he both silver Nazarana Rupee and Rupee issued by him has beautiful Persian legend inscribed on the obverse and reverse side of the coin.
This Silver Nazarana Rupee issued by him is listed for INR 25,000 in the upcoming auction of Todywalla which will be held in Mumbai on 20th April 2019.
