American Veterans Commemorative Coin

American Veterans is also known as AMVETS, this is one of the leading veteran service organizations working in the United States for more than 75 years. They work with a proud history of assisting veterans; they also sponsor numerous program that serves the United States and its citizen.American Veterans enhance the quality of life for all veterans, their family and survivor. Membership of American Veterans is open to the people who honourably served the United States or to the person who is currently serving the United States Armed Force including the National Guard and Reserves.
The United States of America had issued a commemorative one dollar with the theme of American Veterans Disabled for life. The obverse of this coin depicts the image of legs and boots if three veterans; with the inscription ‘THEY STOOD UP FOR US’ at the top and ‘IN GOD WE TRUST’ Year ‘2010’ and ‘LIBERTY’ at the bottom. The reverse of the coin depicts the inscription ‘TAKE THIS MOMENT TO HONOR OUR DISABLED DEFENDERS OF FREEDOM’ in the centre, and the inscription ‘UNITED STATES OF AMERICA’ is written at the top and ‘E PLURIBUS UNUM’ and ‘ONE DOLLAR’ written at the bottom.
