Coin Scam Fraudster On The Run
2016-04-01 Fri
As per Police records, a Corinth (U.S.) couple were defrauded by two men who took away their coin collection and never paid for it; there are chances of more such cases. The two suspects face unspecified felonies for the scheme that cost the couple a portion of a coin collection worth thousands of dollars. One of them was arrested and the other one is still being sought. The police recovered coins worth about $6,000, but several thousand dollars worth coins had already been sold.
The Corinth couple gave them the coin collection expecting an appraised value for the same. The frauds later convinced the couple to give them thousands of dollars to purchase more coins to fill out the collection. The coins were never provided and some of the coins from the collection were sold without consent as well.
