Kingdom of Serbs Croats and Slovenes issued a set of 4 Newspaper stamps on 1st February 1919. A newspaper stamp is a special type of postage stamp used to pay the cost of mailing newspapers and other periodicals.Kingdom of Serbs, Croats, and Slovenes was the former name of Yugoslavia. Initially, it was officially called the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats, and Slovenes. The official name of the state was changed to "Kingdom of Yugoslavia" by King Alexander I on 3 October 1929. It issued stamps from 1918 until the name of the country was officially changed to Yugoslavia.
On 1st February 1919, a set of four stamps were issued depicting a girl wearing a Bosnian Costume in an oval floral vignette. An intricate background is seen behind the vignette. The stamp does not bear the name of the country. At the bottom corners, the stamp is inscribed with the denomination value.
