Philippines Post has recently come up with a special issue to celebrate Valentine’s. These stamps were specially prepared for the Valentine’s Day 2019.Celebrated on 14th February, Valentine’s Day is celebrated as the day of Love and is known in the Philippines as “Araw ng mga Puso”. This romantic holiday is celebrated in the Philippines like the rest of the world by sending flowers or gifts. This day is the most popular day for weddings with some localities offering free mass ceremonies.
The stamps come with the denomination of 12 Philippine pesos and designed in bright colours. They depict king and queen of hearts dressed in Philipino Costume in the centre and are inscribed with “Araw ng mga Puso” on the left and right which means Valentine's Day in Pilipino Language.
