Australia’s Latest Kookaburra 1oz Silver Coloured Coin

The Perth Mint released an exclusive Kookaburra 1oz Silver Coloured Coin to celebrate the 2019 World Money Fair. The coin is struck using 1oz of 99.99% pure silver and will be circulated in Australia as legal tender. It has a mintage limit of 1,500 pieces and each coin comes in a special World Money Fair 2019 packaging.Designed by Aleysha Howarth, the reverse side features a colourful kookaburra sitting on a branch, as the sun sets in the background. The branch is sticking out from a river, as the purple sun rays fall on the waters, while wetland grass and a tree surround the river. Other inscriptions include AUSTRALIAN KOOKABURRA, year-date 2019, weight and fineness, and ‘P’ mintmark of Perth Mint. The obverse side depicts an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II designed by Jody Clark, along with face value 1 Dollar (AUD).
The coin comes in a grey Perth Mint case within a special World Money Fair 2019 shipper. A numbered Certificate of Authenticity is also provided. The 31.107 grams coin has a diameter of 40.60 millimetres and a thickness if 3.21 millimetres.
