UNPA’s Revised 2019 Stamp Program

UNPA is going to release a pane of 10 $1.15 stamps in its Hello Kitty and Global Goals issue on 2nd May for the post office at U.N. headquarters in New York City. The stamps would come along with se-tenant labels. Two postal envelopes surcharged to 55¢ will be released on 1st February again for the post office at U.N. headquarters in New York City.A souvenir sheet containing three stamps will be released to commemorate Singpex 2019. The 36th Asian international stamp exhibition will begin on 31st July and will go on till 4th August at the Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre in Singapore. The souvenir sheet would feature the panda twins Qiqi and Diandian, who are United Nations Development Programme global animal goodwill ambassadors. The $1.15 stamp would be for the New York City office; 2 francs for Geneva office and 1.80 for Vienna office. A similar souvenir sheet will be released on 11th June for the China 2019 world stamp exhibition.
A set of six stamps based on three themes namely, stop sexual exploitation and abuse, gender equality, and migration will be released on 15th March. Two stamps would be issued for each UNPA post office. Stamps featuring former U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan will be released on 31st May. $2.75 Stamps celebrating the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi will be released on 2nd October.
Stamps and souvenir sheets commemorating the 25th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC will be released on 6th September. The stamps will be of denominations 55¢, $1.15, 1fr, 1.50fr, 0.80 and 0.90 while the souvenir sheets will contain stamps of denominations $1.15, 2fr and 1.80. The designs would be based on the theme for 2019 Climate Summit: “Climate change. A race we can win. A race we must win.”
World Heritage/Cuba stamp will now be released on 24th October instead of 6th September. Some stamps that were earlier included in UNPA’s 2019 stamp program are not there in the changed program.
