India-South Africa Joint Issue Featuring Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela

India Post and South Africa Post are going to release a joint issue to celebrate the 125th Year of Mahatma Gandhi’s Pietermaritzburg Station Incident & 100th Birth Anniversary of Nelson Mandela. The MoU for this release was signed on 24th July 2018 and the Union Cabinet of India has been recently notified about the same.The Commemorative Postage Stamp of India will depict Mahatma Gandhi while that of South Africa will feature an image of Nelson Mandela. Both these iconic leaders were responsible for driving the independence movement in their respective countries. They have been symbols of Non-Violence and Peace for generations now. Having a joint issue honouring these two influential personalities in a stamp collection would definitely be a dream come true for many collectors.
