On Peru’s arid Pacific coast in Lima, the capital, with a preserved colonial centre and important collections of pre-Columbian art.Peruvian sol was the currency of Peru between 1863 and 1985. The obverse has Liberty seated in centre with the denominational values in numbers on either side. The reverse has the official Coat of arms with the denominational values in numbers on either side.
