This banknote was issued in 1953 by the People’s Bank of China, it is printed in ink brown on yellow-orange underprint.The obverse of this note illustrates legend’ People’s Bank of China’ is printed in mandarin script on the top panel. The image of a truck is seen on left with the denomination in mandarin script on right. The control number in roman is printed on the top right with the mandarin script on the bottom panel.
The reverse of this note depicts a coat of arms of China is depicted in the centre with four different scripts printed around it. The denomination in the mandarin script is printed on both the sides with the date in the centre.
