Heritage To Showcase Rarities at CICF 2016

2016-03-21 Mon

Heritage Auctions is all set to present some of the most sought after ancient and world coins at the CICF 2016 held from 14th April to 17th April in Hall B of the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Ill.

The star coin at the sale would be the Canadian 1870 Queen Victoria half dollar, lot 29581, missing the designer’s initials. Very few of the 450,000 1870 half dollars minted lack the LCW initials, making this coin extremely rare.

Another coin that is going to steal the show would be the Australian 1930 King George V penny. This highly graded coin is more special for its red-brown toning throughout and sharp design elements.

The auction would also feature an Egyptian drachm of Roman emperor Otho, who reigned for only three months in 69 C.E. Only 11 of such coins are known.

Many other rare ancient and world coins would be up for sale at the event. Bidding on the CICF 2016 auction begins online March 25. For more details click here
