Qutb Al-din Bahadur Shah One-Third Tanka Listed For INR 60,000

Qutb Al-Din Bahadur Shah is also known as Bahadur Khan; He was the Sultan of Gujrat; He ruled Gujarat Sultanate for 1526 CE till 1537 CE. He ascended the throne after competing with his brothers and later, he also expanded his kingdom and made the expedition to help neighboring kingdoms.Qutb Al-Din Bahadur Shah during his reign issued his coins in gold, silver, copper, and billon. These coins were issued in different denominations like tanka, half tanka, one-third tanka, quarter tanka, one-sixth tanka, Falus, half falus, double falus, and quarter falus. Heavy tanka which he issued weighs around 12.4g, and normal tanka weighs around 8.4 gm.
This gold one-third tanka which he issued is listed for INR 60,000 in the upcoming auction of Imperial Auction House which will be held in Pune on 15th December 2018. The obverse of this coin is inscribed with the king name ‘Bahadur Shah’. The reverse of the coin is inscribed as ‘Al-Sultan with the Hijri Date 942’.
