Birth of Christ celebrated on stamps by Royal Gibraltar Post

Christmas is celebrated to mark the Birth of Jesus Christ in fulfilment of the divine will of God, to save the world form sin. Royal Gibraltar Post depicted this enchanting movement in the set of seven stamps and a miniature sheet released on 2nd November 2018. The designed is created by Stephen Perera, a local graphic artist.The first stamp 22p features ‘Adoration of magi’ by Bernardino Luini, Fra Angelivo’s Nativity is depicted in 40p stamp. The 64p stamp illustrates The Nativity from Adoration of Magi by Gentile Da Fabriano often described as “the culminating work of international Gothic painting”. The 70p stamp shows the ‘Nativity and Annunciation to the Shepherd; by Bernardino Luini. The last stamp of 3 Euro depicted the ‘Holy Family’ by Johann Martin Metz.
