Gold-Hudki Half Pagoda of Bijapur

Bijapur Sultanate was one of the provinces of Bahamani Sultanate from the year 1347 CE till 1518 CE. The Bahamani Sultanate was ruled by the five dynasties namely Bijapur, Golkonda Ahmadnagar Bidar and Berar. Bijapur Sultanate was ruled by the Adil Shahi Dynasty. They were Shia Muslim Dynasty. They trace their origin back to Yousuf Adil Shah, who was the governor of the province, before creating a de facto independent Bijapur state. In the year 1686 CE, it was occupied by Mughal Empire after the conquest of Emperor Aurangzeb.This Gold Hudki Half Pagoda with weighs around 1.67g was issued by Sikandar Adil Shah of Bijapur Sultanate. This Half-Pagoda is listed for INR 20,000 in the upcoming auction of Imperial Auction which will be held in Pune on 15th December 2018.
