Five Dollar Commemorative Coin on Bald Eagle
2018-11-23 Fri
The Bald eagle is a bird found in North America; it is only eagled unique to North America. It is a bird with its snowy-feathers; its distinctive brown body and white head and tail make it easy to identify even from a distance; it is the proud national bird symbol of the United States. The Numbers of Bald Eagles have declined seriously during the first two-thirds of the 20th century. They were hunted for the sports and for the ‘Protection’ of fishing grounds. Even after the Eagles were given full legal protection, they continued to decline, one of the main causes to this may be DDT and other pesticides. Since DDT use was heavily restricted in 1972, eagle numbers have rebounded significantly and have been aided by reintroduction programs.
The United States of America had issued this gold five dollars commemorative coin on the Bald eagle to spread the awareness about the Bald eagle and to work to save and protect Bald Eagles nationally.
