Woodrow Wilson was born on 28th December 1856 in Staunton, Virginia, to parents of a predominantly Scottish heritage. His father was a Presbyterian minister and his mother the daughter of a Presbyterian minister, Due to this Woodrow; was raised in a pious and academic household. He has done his graduation from the law school of Virginia. After graduation, he completed his doctorate from Johns Hopkins University.In the year 1902, he became the professor of Political Science and was also appointed as president of Princeton University. In the year 1910 he was elected as governor of New Jersey and after two years in the year 1913, he was elected as president of United States. After being the president of United States he passed Federal Reserve Act in the United States which provided the country with the more elastic money supply. He suffered a stroke while trying to rally support for the Versailles Treaty, which was defeated by the Senate.
The United States of America had issued his commemorative coin with his portrait on the obverse side of the coin.
