New Paddington Bear Coins to Soon Enter Circulation

Two new 50p coins released by the Royal Mint featuring Paddington Bear will enter circulation in October. The collector’s versions with coloured designs were released back in June and are being sold for £60 each. The exact mintage limit of the general circulation coin has not yet been revealed. A college student named Jordan Mcilquham found an unreleased collector coin accidentally while shopping and sold it for £16,000 on eBay. As of now, the collector coins are being sold for £52 max.One of the coins features Paddington Bear sitting on his suitcase at London Paddington station, and the other one shows him at Buckingham Palace. Collectors still have a chance to buy Early release and brilliant uncirculated coins.
The popular fictional character, Paddington Bear was featured for the first time on 13th October 1958 in the children's book "A Bear Called Paddington" written by Michael Bond and illustrated by Peggy Fortnum. It has appeared in over 20 books since them which have been translated in 30 languages. Almost 10 million copies of books featuring Paddington Bear have been sold all across the globe. The friendly bear from Peru is shown wearing an old hat, duffle coat, holding a suitcase. He loves marmalade and is quite a sensation among kids.
