The Blue Ridge Parkway is the favorite national park of United States of America. These National Park stretch around 496 miles through Virginia and North Carolina, it also connects Shenandoah National Park on its northern end and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park on its southern end. The Blue Ridge Parkway is very much famous for its long-range vistas and a close-up view of the rugged mountain and pastoral landscapes of the Appalachian Highlands.The United States of America had issued this Quarter Dollar with the theme of Blue Ridge National Park. The obverse of the coin depicts portrait of the first president of United States of America George Washington facing towards left in the centre, with the inscription ‘UNITED STATES OF AMERICA’ at the top, with the motto ‘LIBERTY’ and ‘IN GOD WE TRUST’ IN written on the left and the right side of the portrait and the denomination ‘QUARTER DOLLAR’ at the bottom. The reverse side of the coin depicts grace and curvature of the road hugging the side of a mountain, with the North Carolina state flower in the background; with the inscription ‘BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY’ ‘NORTH CAROLINA’ ‘E PLURIBUS UNUM’ AND ‘2015’ around.
