Five Armistices on New Zealand Stamp

On the 11th hour of 1918, the gunfire sized on the western front, the First World War came to an effective end. To mark this significant event New Zealand Post issued a set of five stamps. These stamps are released to pay tribute to those who all served in this war. These stamps are designed by Dave Burke and illustrate such delicate designs that are perfect for the war theme collection.The four stamps from its seat feature the past and present member of New Zealand’s armed forces, each representing the Navy, the Air Force, the Army and medical personals. The fifth stamp consists the feature of the RNZRSA poppy. The designed on these stamps look like it is unified by a stained-glass window, bordered by an archway of doves, ferns, koru which symbolised a future of peace.
