This Pattern silver rupee issued by Mir Mahbub Ali Khan of Princely states Hyderabad is estimated for INR 2,50,000 in the upcoming auction of Todywalla which will be held in Chennai on 6th October 2018.Mir Mahbub Ali Khan was the 6th Nizam of Hyderabad. He came to the throne at the age of 3 after the death of his father Afzal ud Daulah. Mir Mahbub Ali Khan ruled this state between 1869 and 1911.
This silver rupee was issued by Mir Mahbub Ali Khan during the 36th year of his reign in the Hijri year 1320. The obverse of the coin is inscribed with the image of ‘Charminar’ with a short initial ‘mim’ in the doorway of Charminar and Hijri Date 1320 and the regnal year '36'. The reverse of the coin depicts name, the title of the king.
