Commemorative coin on Infantry Soldiers

Infantry can be defined as the branch of an army which are engaged in military combat on foot, distinguished from cavalry artillery and tank forces. They are also known as foot soldiers; infantry traditionally relies on moving by foot between combats as well, but may also use mounts, military vehicles, or other transport.This Infantry Soldiers silver One Dollar was authorized by the National Infantry Museum and Soldiers Centre Commemorative Coin Act. This Act was signed by President George W. Bush on 8th August 2008. Designed of this coin was released by United States Mint on October 27, 2011, at Fort Benning’s historic Doughboy Stadium.
Each of this coin contains 90% silver content with 10% content of copper. The weight of this coin is around 26.7g and the diameter of his coin is 1.5 inches. The obverse of this coin was designed by Joel Iskowitz and Michael Gaudioso and reverse of this coin is inscribed as ‘Ronald. D. Sanders and Norman E. Nemeth.
The obverse of this coin depicts infantry soldier charging forward with an inscription ‘LIBERTY’ ‘IN GOD WE TRUST’ AND ‘2012’ and reverse of the coin is inscription depicts crossed rifles insignia. The insignia is a universally recognizable symbol of the Infantry, as all members wear it.
