A special commemorative stamp dedicated to teachers is issued by the Philippine Postal cooperation in this month. In Philippine National Teachers’ celebration is a month-long celebration that starts on September 5th. The notion behind is to issue this stamp is bring the passion behind the concept of letter writing.

This stamp is designed by Rodine Teodoro, it illustrates cartoon-like colours portraying a teacher patiently guiding a student for a better future. The aim to release this stamp is to revitalize the image of teacher and to spread a respect for the teaching profession in the Philippine society.
