India Serbia Joint Issue

On 15th September 2018 Serbia and India jointly issued a set two of stamps to celebrate friendship as cofounders of the Non-Aligned Movement.India-Serbia relations are warm and friendly drawing their strength from the shared values of Non-Alignment as the pillar of the Foreign Policy and the personal friendship of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and Marshall Tito the founders of the Non-Aligned Movement. India shares a strong bond of friendship with Serbia on several levels other than Politics such as ITEC Cooperation, Commercial Relations, Cultural Relations and many more.
70 years of reactions between the two countries are portaged on stamps which feature the great thinkers of the two counties i.e. Nikola Tesla and Swami Vivekananda. The stamps feature the portraits of both the thinkers.
The Serbian stamps come with the denomination of 70 Serbian dinars. Along with the portrait the stamps depict the birth and death years of both the thinkers along with the inscription “70th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations with India” in Serbian.
On the other hand, the Indian stamps are pretty simple. Along with the portraits the stamps bear the names of the personalities both in English and Hindi. The stamps come with the denomination of Rs. 5 for the stamp depicting Nikola Tesla and Rs. 25 for the stamp with the portrait of Swami Vivekananda.
