Agriculture Celebrated on Latvian Coins

A new circulating commemorative 2-euro coin will be issued by the former Soviet bloc nation, Latvia. The obverse of the coin features the brown cow which is symbolic to Latvian dairy farming, both in folklore and in life. Other inscriptions on the obverse include ‘2016’ and the name of the issuing country ‘LATVIJA’. The 12 stars of the European flag appear on both sides on the ring of the bimetallic coin. The reverse depicts the common European map design.All €2 coins are legal tender throughout the Euro zone.
