Aztec Calendar 1 Kilo Silver Coin of Mexico

The 1 kg Mexican $100 silver coin features intricate designs that represent a thousand years of Mexico’s history and culture. The coin has a mintage limit of 500 pieces and each coin comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity, an informative booklet highlighting the history of Aztec calendar, a magnifying glass, and an engraved wooden box.Designed by Ivars Drulle, the coin’s obverse features the new Mexican National Shield. It is surrounded by a wreath and a text “ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS” that stands for “the United States of Mexico”. The earlier versions of the Mexican National Shield are featured around the central design.
Aztec calendar or the Stone of the Suns features the sun god Tonatiuh at the centre of the reverse design designed by Ilze Libiete. Other inscriptions around the central design include CALENDARIO AZTECA, $100, 2015, 1 Kg PLATA PURA LEY .999, and OM – the mintmark of the La Casa de Moneda de Mexico.
The coin has a Diameter of 110 mm and its designs are produced with a Matte Finish.
