Chudasama was a ruling dynasty in Gujarat from 9th to 15th century. They adopted the title ‘Ra’. Chudasama, they were well-known for their architecture. They have built beautiful step wells. Adi Kadi Vav and Navghan Kuvo, these structures are probably few of the oldest stepwell in India. These two-step wells represent the highest architectural achievements of Chudasama rule. Navghan kuvo was built by Ra Navghan II (c.1067-c.1098 CE). Ra Khengar Vav was another step well built by Ra Khengar I. This well is delicately carved.The rulers of Chudasama also issued coins. The given coin in the image depicts a bird facing right within the dotted border of a circle and reverse has a Nagari letter ’Shri’ within the dotted border.
