Highlights of Todywalla Auctions

In MCS 16th Annual Coin, Banknote & Philately Fair 2018 Todywalla commenced two auctions, the coins and banknotes from different periods of India and the world was listed to auction in these event days. The feature image of this article depicts the gold coin of Gupta King Samudragupta, it was sold for INR 6, 00,000 on 1st Sep 2018 in Mumbai.The second most surprising highlight was the Indo-Portuguese gold Paradau of John III from Cochin, it was sold for INR 600000 on the same day in Auction No 118. The other gold coin sold for INR 4,10,000 was issued in the reign of Emperor Jahangir. The next gold coin belongs to the Sasanian coinage issued in King Shahpur I, it went for INR 3, 95,000. There were many gold coins sold within the range of INR 3, 00,000 to 4,00,000.
The interesting specimen in this lot was the uniface 10 rupee banknote of British India sold for INR 2, 40,000. The silver coin of Empress Victoria went for INR 2, 30,000. The next banknote was 1000 rupees note of King George VI sold for INR 2, 01,000.
The above all lot was sold for amazing prices from the Todywalla auction No 118. Todywalla also held Budget No. 9 held on 31st Aug 2018. This budget auction had man fascinating silver and copper coins from different periods of Indian coinage.
