“He for She” Stamp Issued Today

Gender inequality is one of the biggest issues that the world is concerned about today. On the occasion of Women’s day, The U.N. Women and India released a beautiful joint-issue stamp. The stamp promotes U.N Women’s “He for She” campaign which urges men to be crusaders of promoting Gender Equality and fight for women’s rights. Despite this problem has been raised several times and many efforts have been taken to create awareness about Gender Equality, even today women are treated differently and not given their due respect on most occasions all over the world.The U.N. also believes that Gender Equality benefits a nation politically, economically and socially. The overall idea is to create awareness and inspire men to raise their voices and help in eliminating discrimination and violence against women.
Mirco llic Corp, a leading graphic design studio has designed these joint issue stamps. This particular joint issue se-tenant Indian stamp depicts a vector image of an Indian-looking woman’s half face on the 25 Rs stamp and an Indian-looking man’s half face on the 5 Rs stamp.
