To label, July 30th as the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons the United Nations Postal Administration issued a set of 10 stamps. This issue is also focusing attention towards the smuggling of migrants and the blue heart campaign against human trafficking. In 2008, the UN Office on Drugs and Crime launched the Blue Heart campaign; its motto is ‘a global awareness raising initiative to fight human trafficking and its impact on society’. The leading country to initiate this campaign was Mexico in 2010.
UN post office in Vienna, Austria issued these stamps of denomination 0.80 Euros. Each of these se-tenant stamps illustrates Mexico’s Blue Heart campaign with the hashtag 'AQUIESTOY'. A balloon is illustrated as the central graphic element with #AQUIESTOY depicted in it.
The stamps depict images of the places presenting happiness, peace and beauty, as these places are where currently human trafficking is taking place. To stop this from happening, the UN is taking various mergers and encouraging various countries to co-operate with this initiative.
