Australian Seasons on Coins
2016-03-08 Tue
Perth Mint has once again shown they world how creative they can be when it comes to coinage. Australia is considered to have some of the most breathtakingly spectacular coastal scenery with blue-green sea and white sand.Apart from that, the country experiences four distinct seasons, all of which has its own character and beauty – Summer, Autumn, Winter and Sprint. The Perth Mint’s Australian Season series has amazingly captured all of them in colour on coins. The series was launched in 2013.
Focussing on the Summer theme, the reverse of the first release of this new series features clear blue skies, beautiful beaches and the Australian Kangaroo on a square shaped coin.
