On 7th March 1876, Alexander Graham Bell received the patent for his revolutionary invention: the Telephone! He was just 29 years old when the patent was made in his name. His invention has revolutionized the world of communications. Many countries like USA, UK, Bangladesh, Grenada and etc. had issued commemorative stamps in 1976 celebrating the centenary of the invention of Telephone. India Post in 1982 celebrated 100 years of telephone services in India by issuing an INR 2 commemorative stamp.
