Gold Pagoda of Muhammad Shah from Ganjikot Mint

This gold pagoda which was issued by Mughal Emperor Muhammad Shah was issued from the mint Ganjikot.Ganjikota is also known as Gandikota, it is fort located on the bank of river Pannar, in Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh. The place was ruled by powerful Telugu dynasty, the Pemmasani Kamma Dynasty is also known as Ganjikota Kamma, the dynasty had ruled this fort for about 300 years.
This extremely rare gold Pagoda weighs around 2.8g. The obverse of the coin is inscribed with the name and title of the Muhammad Shah and the reverse of the coin is inscribed with mint name Ganjikot.
This gold Pagoda is listed for INR 22000 in the upcoming online auction of Oswal which will be held on 21st July 2018.
