RBI issuing 350 rupees coin

The Reserve Bank of India is all set to roll out a limited edition coin of Rupees 350 to commemorate the 350th anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh.According to RBI notification the obverse of this coin will illustrate the Lion capital of Ashoka Pillar with inscription ‘Satyamev Jayate’ below it. On the left periphery ‘Bharat’ in Devanagari script and on right ‘India’ periphery in Roma scripts are inscribed. Below it the denomination value is also engraved.
The reverse side will be flanked with the picture of ‘Takht Shri Harimandir Ji Patna Sahib’ with Devanagri script in the picture. The legend ‘350th Prakash Ustav of Sri Guru Gobn Singh ji’ is going to be illustrated in the roman script in lower periphery and devanagari script in upper periphery. The date 1666 and 2016 in international numeral are going to be inscribed on both periphery of this coin.
The weight of this coin is around 34.65 to 35.35 grams with the circumference of 44mm and will be made of quaternary alloy like 50% silver, 40 % copper, 5% nickel and 5% zinc.
