An auction house named Ulrich Felzmann from Duesseldorf, Germany is going to organise its next public stamp and postal history auction from 5th to 7th July. One of the highlights at the auction is a special €1.28 unissued stamp from Austria that was supposed to be released in 2005 to celebrate the 70th birth anniversary of Dalai Lama. Just before the issue was cancelled, almost 30 complimentary examples were already circulated. An intact pane of 10 such stamps with little creasing in the margin is being offered at the auction with a starting bid of €4,000.
A US 1860 90¢ blue George Washington stamp with a red grid cancel is also going to be offered with a starting bid of €3,000. The stamp comes with a 2003 certificate from the American Philatelic Society expert committee. The used 90¢ stamp has a listed market value of $10,000, however, it is difficult to value the stamp accurately.
