On 15th May 2018, India Post issued this new stamp in the memory of M.V.Arunachalam. This stamp was released by the Honorable Governor of Tamil Nadu. M.V.Arunachalam was one of the prominent and leading personalities of India. He left a lasting impression in the field of business and community services. Under his leadership, the Murugappa group spread through the six continents with its conglomerates based at Chennai. M.V. Arunachalam’s efforts grew the group’s contribution to the Indian Economy and his successful turnaround to the second-oldest company EID Parry is legendary.

In addition to industry and Economy, Arunachalam also contributed to the community. He was the member of the Executive Committee of Kalashetra, a leading industry to promote India fine art. He also held a position in CP Ramaswamy Aiyar Foundation, Council of Central Electrochemical Research Institute, Indian Institute of Management Ahmadabad, etc.
