Malwa Ghiyath Shah's Copper Coins

Ghiyath Shah ruled Malwa Sultan from 1469 CE to 1500 CE. He was the eldest son of Mahmud and had also served his father as a military leader.He issued coins in gold, silver, and copper. During the beginning of his reign he issued coins in a circular shape, but during the latter period, he issued coins in a square shape. Coins which he had issued in a circular shape are scarcer than square ones.
In copper, he issued denomination like Double Falus, Falus, Half-Falus, Quarter-Falus, One-Third Falus and One-sixth Falus. He issued copper standard in two different weight standard 80 rati series and 100 rati series.
This copper double falus issued by him weighs around 17.9g. The obverse of this coin is inscribed as ‘Ghiyath Shah Al-Khalji Bin Mahmud Shah’. The reverse of this coin is inscribed as ‘Al Sultan Bin Al Sultan’.
