Fiji, a country in the South Pacific, is an archipelago of more than 300 islands. It's famed for rugged landscapes, palm-lined beaches and coral reefs with clear lagoons. Its major islands, Viti Levu and Vanua Levu, contain most of the population. Viti Levu is home to the capital, Suva, a port city with British colonial architecture.The obverse of this 100 dollars Flora and Fauna series of 2012 banknote has a Fijian Cicada, Buli Kula chain (Golden Cowrie), domodomo (canoe masthead) as registration device with holographic stripes and Coat of Arms.
The reverse of the note depicts the map of Fiji, Fiji's diversity and tourism with Fijian woman, Fijian man with a guitar and a Fijian Indian lady in a national dress in the left centre. The Fiji islands depicted as a map and a 180° meridian with snorkelers, yacht, fish, corals and domodomo.
This predominantly yellow coloured note has the signature of Barry Whiteside (Governor).
