Princely State of Porbandar

Porbandar State was a princely state during the British Raj ruled by Jethwa dynasty. It was one of the few princely states with a coastline. Porbandar was located on the western coast of the Kathiawar peninsula and was bounded by Nawanagar in the north and by Junagadh in the southeast.Rulers of Porbandar issued coins in silver and copper in various denominations such as Kori, Dokdo, Dhinghla, and Trambiyo.
This copper Dhingla of Porbandar was issued in the name of Muzaffar Shah with ‘Shri Rana’ added in Devanagari with AH 978 on obverse.
