Postage Stamps Celebrate the 45th Anniversary of Diplomatic ties Between Vietnam and France

On 12th April, France and Vietnam released a set of stamps to celebrate the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries. It comprises of two templates. One of them features a logo marking 45 years of the diplomatic ties. It is designed by a student at Hanoi’s Alexandre Yersin International School named Reika Firrincieli. On 24th January, the logo was released in Hanoi. The event marked the beginning of this celebration. The Elite Cultural Vietnam (ECV) office designed the second template. It symbolises the five-year-old strategic partnership using the two countries’ flags.Vietnamese Embassy in France and La Poste have released three more sets like these earlier. In 2008, the first set was released depicting Vietnam’s Ha Long Bay and France’s Strait of Bonifacio. The second one was released in 2013 to celebrate the 150th Birth Anniversary of French scientist Alexandre Yersin who worked dedicatedly for Vietnam. The third set was dedicated to three French architectural works in the three regions of Vietnam and was released in 2015.
