This silver coin of the East India Company is bided for INR 5, 00,000 in the upcoming auctions of Todywalla in Mumbai on 21th April 2018.This silver proof Pattern Rupee depicts the bust of King Edward VII facing right with the continuous legend ‘EDUARDUS VII REX ET IMPERATOR’ meaning ‘Edward VII King and Emperor’ with a star below the bust and initials ‘K.W’ incused on truncation within the tooted border on the obverse side.
The reverse of this coin depicts a tiger in the centre with initials ‘ERI’ above it within the crowned ornamented circle. The denomination in words, India and date are inscribed on the outer circle within the toothed rim.
