The Nalas was an Indian dynasty ruling in the parts of Chhatisgarh and Odisha, from their capital Pushkari during 600 CE. Few of the rulers known from their inscriptions and coins are Arthapati, Bhavadatta, Skandavarman, Varaharaja, Nandanaraja, and Stambha. Not many coins have been known from their dynasties. One of the classic coins from this dynasty is featured alongside. This gold uniface coin was issued by Varaharaja. It depicts seated Nandi facing left, a crescent above, legend 'Shrivahara' in a box headed Brahmi below, all within the dotted border of dots.
