Malwa Sultan Copper Double Paisa offered at Estimated Price of INR 15,000

The Malwa Sultanate was a late medieval independent Sultanate of the Turkish origin in the Malwa region. In the present-day, it is located in the Madhya Pradesh state of India. It was founded by Dilawar Khan Ghuri, the governor of the Delhi Sultanate, who asserted his independence in 1392 CE.This copper double falus was issued by Ghiyath Shah. Ghiyath Shah ruled Malwa Sultan from AH 873 to AH 906. He was the eldest son of Mahmud and had also served his father as a military leader.
This copper double falus weighs around 17.9g. The obverse of this coin inscribed with ‘Ghiyath Shah Al- Khalji bin Mahmud Shah’. The reverse of this coin inscribed with ‘Al Sultan Bin Al Sultan’.
This copper double falus is estimated for INR 15,000 in the upcoming Auction of Oswal which will be held in Mumbai on 21st April 2018.
