The Patterns coins are the coins which are not issued for circulation but produced for the purpose of evaluating a coin design. They are collected or studied by many coin collectors because of its historical importance.This extremely rare Pattern copper half anna was auctioned in the 101th Auction of Todywalla which was held in Mumbai of 24th April 2016.
This coin was struck in Hyderabad during the reign of Mir Mahbub Ali Khan. The obverse of this coin is seen as ‘Tughra with AH date 1322 below, an Ornamental border around the circle’. The reverse of this coin is seen as ‘Legend, Mint name with a regnal year, an Ornamental border around the circle’.
This extremely rare coin was sold for INR 95,000 by Todywalla auction.
